Organization:1 goal. 5 players per area, 3 areas set up like above. 30x20.
Instructions: 1st attacker starts in the middle of the 2 cones. They must check to one side, receive the ball from their partner and go to goal. Maximum 3 touch to receive, turn and score. Go and get the ball and go around the side to rejoin the line.
Coaching Points:
- Has to be a good pass into partner!
- How can you turn and take a touch so that you are going towards goal?
- Be positive, first touch forward (break the line).
- Check your shoulder whilst moving and before receiving the ball to see where the space is.
Progressions:
1 - 2 players from another group to now be defenders. They must start one on each tall cone. As soon as the pass is played, they are allowed to defend one at a time. However, they must run around one of the small cones before they can do this. Distance defender is away from the cone can be changed. Emphasis on the player receiving the ball to look to see where the defender is running and go the opposite way.
2 - Change the direction the defenders are coming from.

Instructions: One team to start attacking, other defends. If the team attacking scores, the player that scored must run and touch one of the goal posts from that goal before coming back. The next 2 players from the other team in the line are now attacking and can go as soon as the 1st team had scored.
If the players that are waiting go quickly they will have a 2v1 straight away.
1 point per team if a goal is scored by the player dribbling with no pass.
5 points per team if a goal is scored by the team if at least one pass is made before shooting.
Coaching Points:
Receiving the ball - Be aware of where the defenders are, check your shoulders.
First touch - Positive and into space away from the defenders.
Passing quality - Can you lead the player? play to their strongest foot? weight and direction of pass.
Q+A - Why play quickly? When receiving the ball, what is the best technique for you to move quickly into space?
