Set Up

• 16 players in total
• 3 reds, 4 blues and 2 GK's
• 3 x lines as shown (red, blue and white)

Drill

• 3 red players start with a ball between them
• They start on the blue line and run towards the red line
• As soon as they reach the red line, the 3 red players turn and make there way towards the far goal
• There goal is to score in the far goal
• As soon as they cross the blue line, they encounter a 3v2 and must quickly make use of the overload to create the goal scoring opportunity
• The 2 blue defending players must begin behind the white line
• In addition to the 2 blue players that they encounter, another 2 recovering players can now run in from the near goal and try to create a 4v3 in favour of the defending team
• Once a goal has been scored or the ball goes dead, the goalkeeper in the far goal will play a ball out to a blue player and now they begin to attack the near goal, creating a 4v3 in favour of the attacking team
• The 3 red players are now defending
• Rotate all players after one full run through of the drill

• How quickly can the red team take advantage of their 3v2 overload and create a goal scoring opportunity
• Can The Blue defending team slow down the reds and show them out wide, giving the recovering defenders the chance to get back into position
• When the blues are in possession, can they quickly turn the 4v3 situation into a goal scoring opportunity
