Organization: Mark with cones two 8x8 areas side by side
Activity: 10-12 players. 5-6 players in each of 2 groups number themselves 1-6. Players pass ball with their teammates in their area. Coach calls one of numbered players who enters other groups area to attempt to win ball. Whichever player wins ball first receives a point for their team. Reset, and repeat calling different numbered players in randon order. Play up to 6 points.
Coaching Points: Quality passing. Open up body to receive ball with back foot. Head up to find passing options quickly before defender closes in. Decision making: when to use 1 touch versus multiple touches.

Organization: Set area using half pitch and width of penalty box. 2 goals.
Activity: 12 players. 4v4 with 4 bumbers (2 on each sideline). Teams play small sided game using neutral bumbers to maintain possession. If pass to bumbers is out of reach going out of bounds, bumper will take kick in to opposing team. Goals scored by shooting in net, kick offs after goals. Corners allowed.
PROGRESSION: If bumper makes 1 touch pass they can enter for team in possession, and stay until possession is lost
Coaching Points: Good player movement to allow for passing options. Communicate. Opening up body to receive passes, directional first touch, quick passes.

Organization: Rectangular area approx 12x12 marked with cones.
Activity: 8 players, 2v2 with 4 bumper players. Teams pass and maintain possession using their middle teammate and neutral bumpers. Teams awarded points for every 3 passes completed, if opposing team wins possession they do the same.
PROGRESSION: play 2 touch or must play pass to teammate before using bumper
PROGRESSION 2: play only to bumbers of same jersey colour
Coaching Points: Can players make quality passes to maintain possession. Open up body to receive ball and make good directional first touch. Good accuracy and weight. Can players create movement and space to get open to receive ball. Game pace. Decision making: when have time to take multiple touches versus when under pressure and to take 1 touch.

Warm-up: Alternative 1 (10 mins)
Organization: Set cones in shape of 't' per diagram. One cone set as start point, the others are numbered 1-3
Activity: Divide girls into groups of approx 3 per team. Girls line up behind start cone. On coaches cue, players will intially run without ball, then dribble with ball, around numbered cones in an order called out by the coach. After running/dribbling around final cone the player will make run/pass to the next teammate in line. Players will race to have all their teammates perform the task. Teams will start with 3 points, and drop a point each race they win, first team to 0 wins.
Coaching points: Players should dribble and run with ball quickly to get their heart rate up while maintaining quality touches. Players should demonstrate that they are mentally engaged to remember order of cones. Teammates are encouraged to communicate to remind or assist teammate performing task. Player should work to make quality pass technically, forcus on part of ball, foot, and weight of pass.
