Part Practice 1

To begin the teams are 3 v 2 in each End Zone. The team of 3 must try to make 4 passes before they can break into the Central Zone to score. The team of 2 must regain and try to play to the GK. If they are able to combine before getting the ball to the GK they get a double goal.

Rotate players.

Part Practice 2

The pitch is set up 20 x 36(3 sections of 12 yards). There are 4 players per zone and a GK at each end. Each team must make a minimum of 4 passes before the ball can be transferred to the opposite end. If possession is lost that team becomes the defenders.

The defending team must look at when to rotate the pressing players, EG; on the switch. The two central players look at when to screen and also quickly press on transition.

The pitch is split into Thirds. The first Third is set up as a 1-3 vs 1, Middle is a 2v3 and end is a 1-2v1.

Formations 1-3-2-1 vs 1-2-3-1 (4-2-3-1).

The Blues must make 5 passes through defence/midfield before they can break out and score. After 1 pass the Reds can send 2 players in to help the ST retrieve the ball. If they do so they can score immediately. Once the Blues attack they must leave a 2v1 (5/6 vs 9).

If the ball goes out then the Reds GK plays out and the #10 drops in (3v2). Again after 5 passes the Reds can go and attack.

Move into free play to see if this can be replicated.
