4v2 Rondo (10 mins)

Objective: improve our ability to keep possession.

Set-up: 8x8 grid with 6 players.

Coaching Points:  (1) Movement without the ball; (2) Finding 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line passes; (3) Look for p/back/thru pattern; (4) receive across your body, (5) quality of passes.

Dynamic Stretches

1. Legs apart, bounce L, C, R (5x)

2. Calves 1, 2, 3 switch (2x each leg)

3. Knee to chest into Figure 4 with footwork in between (2x each)

4. Quad strech with footwork in between (2x each)

5. Speed skater with footwork in between (2x each)

6. Spiderman/Rollback (4x each)

7. Reverse RDL + Reverse lunge + Overhead reach (4x each)

8. Open/Close the Gate (4x each)

9. Lateral lunge (2x each)

10. Squat Jumps (4x each)

TG - 2v1 SSG (20 mins)

Objective:  improve attacker 1, 2.

Organization:  20x24 yard grid.  1 small goal on one end  2 small counter goals at the other end.

Instructions:  coach plays the ball in and players play 2v1.

Coaching Points:  (1) attacker 1 go at pace and commit defender, (2) attacker 2 create overload near the ball, (3) attacker 2 no straight lines, (4) look for overlaps, underlaps, 1-2 wall passes.
