4v4 (or 3v3) Plus 4 Bumper Players
- Set up as shown in diagram - adapt numbers in middle for your team (3v3 or 3v3 + playmaker, etc).
- My set up above creates a 8v4 situation for possession team
- 12 passes is a goal.
- Players in middle have unlimted touches.
- Bumper players have 2 touch or 1 touch if your team can handle it.
- Rotate bumpers in middle after a few minutes.
Coaching Points:
- Angles of support
- Timing movement into open lanes
- Awareness: where to take first touch? do I need to play quick or do I hve time in possession?, etc.
- Combinations
- 12 passes is a goal

Game: 4v4 or 5v5 plus GKs on Half Field:
- Set up goals in middle of the field facing the big goal (at the end); 2 games going on at same time.
- You can always use pug goals (2 on each corner) for the goals in the middle of the field.
- Create THREE teams for each half of the field and play 4v4 or 5v5 plus GKs (the team on each side that is NOT playing will be doing a physical activity in the middle).
*3-4min games: 6p win, 3p tie, 1 pt for each goal scored
*If there is a tie at the end of the 3 minutes, the team on the longest goes off
*Use boards to keep the game flowing
*Address movement and options off the ball (in possession)

Technical Warm Up
Technical Warm up:
- Set up large square as shown in diagram
- Players should get into groups of 3 and numbers themseleves 1-2-3
- #1 starts as server with a ball on outside and #2 & #3 are in pairs in the middle.
- Each challenge is 1-min long; then change servers (#2 becomes server and #1 & #3 pair up in the middle)
- Have each group keep a score and add on score with each challenge
- Make sure to DEMO each challenge
CHALLENGES:
A. In pairs, 1st attacker lays ball off to 2nd attacker whom passes back to server; both players then move through the middle zone and receive another pass from a different server.
B. Servers serve ball to head of 1st attacker whom lays ball off (in the air) for 2nd attacker to head ball back to server.
C. Same movements as above but now do 2 touch.
D. Many other variations you can do to focus on touch & passing technique and timing of movements
*Addres timing of movement from 2nd attacker
*Technique and feet prepartion to receive the ball
*Quality and weight of passes
