Stage 1 (15 mins)

Stage 1 we have the whites moving around looking for space however if they can dribble between two blue players without making contact with them they can score a point. Aim is for the players to be aware of their surroundings and not just look down at the ball.

Progression: Blues can now communicate and close the gaps to avoid points being scored.

Stage 2 (15 mins)

In stage 2 we have a 2v1 towards end line, the attackers need to evaluated the sitatuon and decide whether they need to pass or dribble based on the defenders positioning. It's important they're getting their head up looking at the situation in front of them

The defender can score double points if he steals and stops on attackers end line, rotate defender

Progression: Add a 10 second clock to score the point.

Stage 3 (15 mins)

In stage 3 we have a conditional game - Defender passes into attackers, the game then turns into a 2v1 towards goal. If the defender steals the ball they can shoot into the mini goals for a point.

Decision making is key, if the defender presses the ball they should look for a pass, if they angle towards the other player you might want to dribble forward.

Progression: Recovery defender can enter after 5 seconds this will make the game 2v2 therefore the speed of play from the attackers needs to be quick.
