1v1+1 shieldling (15 mins)
Players to play 1v1 in a box, they must keep the ball for at least 5 seconds before they can pass to player in the opposite box. If the defender wins it, they pass it across straight away and the player who lost the ball becomes the defender.
Focus on shielding the ball to protect it and then finding the space to play the pass.
Supporting player to move and support the player on the ball, making good angles to receive.
Defenders to press the player on the ball and work hard to try and win it.

Possession practice (20mins)
Each team must look to keep the ball by showing good movement to support the play.
Passing and receiving skills are crucial.
Players must recognise when to support close and when to support away from the ball (and who does that).
Can progress to counting the number of passes each team makes.

Support play SSG (20 mins)
Teams play a match with the pitch split into quarters.
For the team in possession, only one or two players are allowed to be outside of the quarter where the ball is. The ball can't go out of that quarter and a goal can't be scored if there are more than two players outside the quarter.
Focus on movement to support the ball quickly.
Understand how to keep the ball and create overloads in the area around the ball (Plus 1 rule), whilst recognising options away from the ball.
Where and how will you need to support the play in the position that you are playing?
From goal kick:
CBs split
Wide players provide width and height to support the switch.
ST to stay high to stretch opposition and look to run behind.
Central players look to rotate to get on the ball (vertical or horizontal rotation on different lines)
One central player must support behind the ball if it's not with the CBs to pivot play and aid the switch.

Match/SSG (20 mins)
Game based on club philosophy.
Looking for players to continue to apply the learning and show good movement to support the play.
Can we recognise where the space is?
Recognise when is the right time to play forward?
