This week in development we will teach the players on How to be successful when they are close to goal.
Using the 4 pillars of the game Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological (Social) choose strategically your coaching points and drift fit them through out the session.
We will concentrate on the following learning outcomes.
Shooting: (SLO)

Use the MVP system and pick an MVP at the end of the session.
Players start with 5 MVP points. They will get a point if they do something appropriate to the session or get points off if they do the opposite.

Progression:
Divide the group into 2 teams : Blue vs Red. Blue will defend Goals #2 and Red will defend Goals #1.
As Coach will play 1 ball in. Players will play a 2 vs 2 as per the diagram shows.

Instructions:
Option 1:
Players split up into 4 teams and play a round robin tournament. keep
track of goals, wins draws and loses. 3 points for a win , 1 point for a
draw, 0 points for a lost
Option 2:
Play street soccer: ex; coach will take every players name on a
notepad. Each player will get 3 points for winning or 1 point for ties.
After each game played, coach will shuffle the teams so players play
each game with different teammates every time. The player with the
most points will earn the MVP award.
Coaching Points:
3 lines of attack: Defender, Midfielder, Forward

Restart:
Week 8: Direct Free kicks. Encourage players look for gaps in between players and the goal, where they can shoot and score.
Principle of Play: Creating goal scoring opportunities/space to shoot and constantly observation on goal (Target)

-As the players are coming in, have the players dribbling using for Boys: Messi and/or Ronaldo touches. Girls: Carly Lloyd or Alex Morgan touches.
Coach divides the players into 4 different teams.
Coach gives a certain amount of cones to each team. They will build as many towers they can with the cones and place them in their corner. The more towers you build the more points you get. Each tower worth 3 points. Each tower must have at least 5-6 cones in order for it to count.
After 90 secs, whichever team that has the most points (Each Tower = 3 points) wins 3 MVP points.
Now, when coach says "Go" one player will dribble the ball and tries to knocked the towers from the opposite team located across from them. Players must shoot from 5 yards for it to count.
Each player get only 1 shot. After he/she shoots, it must quick get the ball and go back into its corner. If player knocks 1 tower then the team will get 3 points.
If a tower gets knocked down, your team has to rebuild it in no more than 15 secs.
