The timing of the run has to be perfect.

The throw cannot be too powerful or too soft as it will ruin the drill.

The pass cannot be over hit when playing down the line.

Cross has to be to a decent level, so that it works the striker.

Change up the throw in at all times by giving hand gestures or different signals that you have worked on.

Communicating with the players allows the drill to run smoother and progress faster.

Adaptations

If the manequin is too easy, add in real defender.
