Exercise options for diving during summer 2022.

Set up triangle of cones like a Christmas tree with the base just inside the 6 yard box.
Movement 1 - GK drops from bottom cone to goal line - server strikes from ground into GK bubble
Movement 2 - GK faces out at post then drops back in at goal line underneath cone - server strikes for collapse dive toward post
Repeat to both sides
CPs: Warmup body, activate processes for GK work, balance in set position, allow for a slowish start to begin the session

GK starts turned away from post on outside
GK turns inside and receives volley from server --> return to server
GK then shuffles to touch cone and get into collapse dive
Repeat as desired
Cover left and right sides
CPs - quality handling technique, smooth transition
Progression - switch volley and collapse --> have low touch first then get up to a volley (may require two servers for one GK) --> this would work on GK recovering quickly to feet

Set up square with poles appox. 4x4 to 6x6, cone in middle for visual cue
One GK works at a time - activation period
Two servers one in each spot above
GK moves forward to cone, first server plays ball to feet, GK plays back
GK turns and backpeddles to line as shown above, backsets, second server plays ball into bubble (or volley)
GK catches and bowls back to second server
Repeat actions going opposite direction
Progression 1: First server plays pass to middle, GK receives and opens to second server and passes, backpeddle to backset then get service - make sure to get both sides - repeat
Progression 2: First server volley to middle, GK frontsets and catches and bowls to second server, backpeddles and backsets for second server to play longer pass, GK receives with feet and plays longer ball back - repeat
Progression 3: First server plays collapse dive to middle, GK collapse dive, then bowl to second server, then longer pass or strike into bubble on backset - repeat
CPs: Activate body and actions for GK to use during session, increase speed of movement as activation progresses, balanced set and movement, accurate passing/service

One GK working, two servers
GK starts at post and facing side-on
Server 1 (near post) calls go - GK turns for volley, catches, returns ball to server
Server 2 (far post) plays shot for GK to dive and save (can be collapse or flighted)
Repeat to both sides - Reps as desired
CPs: Simple exercise to get the feet moving across the goal and stretching out more in the dive, check if launching technically well

Set up:
Three servers (shown in blue), one worker (yellow)
Numerous balls, small goal near six on angle
1) GK starts in middle of goal, moves to outside near post for volley (or type of service as desired)
2) GK dives to make save preventing low ball from entering small goal
3) GK pops to feet, adjust back toward post for flighted / well-struck ball
Repeat as desired
Variations - change type of service, add hurdle/pushup/jump to bar, can do even with limited number of servers
CPs: Balance, vision toward the field, energy through hips and hands, when see foot go back then get set even if not on ball line, belief to make the save

GK starts off of near post
Server 1 provides service for four (4) collapse dives - left, right, right, left
After four dives, GK works across goal to deal with shot from Server 2
Work both sides
Variations - high balls from Server 1, Server 2 with 1v1 opportunity
CPs: Quick feet, proper angles

Old School Activation (10 mins)
Simple activation work to prep GKs for various actions.
Notably, get in a warmup of movement prior to activation
1) GK side on, server calls Turn, GK turns square to server for volley - Reps as desired
2) GK double-tap footwork over line/hurdle/cone then set for volley - Reps as desired
3) Spread save position for volley - stretch out hips and hamstrings - Reps as desired
4) Butt-Knees-Feet - get used to hitting the ground - Reps as desired
CPs: Build in pace as we go along, touching on footwork/handling/spread shape/diving, technique is important
