Station 4: First Touch
Initial set-up: half the group are spread around the outside of the grid with a ball each. They act as servers. The other group is inside. Place random gates around the inside the grid. Vary sizes of these gates to change the challenge for the players.
-switch after 90 seconds
Progressions:
1) players inside receive a pass and look to take their first touch through a gate before playing to a free server on the outside.
2) Players play their first touch through a gate and then pass through a gate to a server.
3) Players receive aerially, and look to use an appropriate surface (chest, thigh, laces) to play through a gate. At times this may require two touches.
Challenges / Questions for Players:
Can you position your body to allow you to play through a gate with one touch?
After this first touch, can you make sure your second touch is 'playable'?
Can servers change their starting postion to allow a pass out through a gate?

Diagonal Targets Game:
- 2v2+1 in the middle of the field wth two additional players on each team acting as targets
- Olders: may have to play 3v3 +1 in middle. Don't want any players sitting out.
- Players in possession are trying to play one of their targets. Once ball is played they take their position.
- Play 4 minute games. Switch neutrals and make coaching points from observations.
Scoring: (youngers) get one point once they play it into target. Progress to target player needs to keep possession by connecting with one of the teammates to get one point
(Olders) get one point for going from one target to another.
i. progression: Player who plays it into target, other player needs to take target position. All need to be alert and aware of what's going on.
Coaching Points: Players need to utilize space and opening up when target gets the ball. Can they take a good first touch away from pressure? Can they receive with hips open to field?
Finish with 3v3 Target Game
