Pre season session developing agility and fitness all with a ball. Finishes with basic positioning for defending corners, and an intro to switching play from wing to wing.

Organisation
Dribble track is set out as shown.
Stations are described below and players can start anywhere.
4x 4 minutes work with 3 minutes rest between sets.
Stations
1. RWTB from 1 to 2.
2. Keep the ball up using feet, thighs & head to 3.
3. Dribble/close control through the poles.
4. Pass the ball to position 5 then fast feet through the ladders. (prescribe if you wish or leave to players).
5. Tight cuts through the cones (big toe, little toe using both feet).
6. Pass the ball to 7 and complete a set of bounds (long. high leaps).
7. Pass the ball to 8 & side skip or shuffle backwards through the cones.
8. Pass the ball to 9 & double footed jumps over high hurdles.
9. Long slalom, dribble at pace between the poles.

Organisation
Pitch is 40 x 30 with mini goals set back approx 5 yards. Between penalty box and half way?
Teams number themselves.
Coach feeds each time he considers the ball out of play, or a goal scored.
Blues start with a 6v3 advantage and try to score.
Each time a blue goal is scored the scorer leaves the field and another player, in sequence comes on.
If reds win the ball they can pass out to a team mate who joins the play, or try to score and if successfull gain an extra team mate up to 6.
Each time they score a blue also goes off down to a minimum of 3.
ie 6v3 to 5v4 to 4v5 to 3v6
Play first team to 10 wins the game, or continuous for 10 mins.

Nearside FB (2) : front area
Farside FB (3) : on back post
4,5,6,8 : man mark, track runs, jump with opponent
10 : alert at D, may need to track a late run or support clearance
Nearside WM (7) : corner of box, prevent short corner, alert for clearance/out ball
Farside WM(11) : tucked in, alert for overhit corner/cross or clearance, option for out ball
9 : keep length, alert for clearance

21 pass warm up. (20 mins)
25x25 area, using GKs as feeders/outer players. 6v6 or 7v7.
Any extra players play outside the area and must return the pass to the possession team.
Target is to be the team to accumulate 21 passes first. Passes do not have to be consecutive.
If ball goes out or is lost play restarts with opposition feeder.
