The session is designed for a group of invite only players ages 09 to 07. The goal is to start preparing the team for competition and playing in a 1-3-1 formation.

Objective: to improve commonly used futsal skills like the sole delay, scoop, and turn/face.
Set-Up: markers spread out in an open space. When players encounter a marker they do the skill.
Coaching Points: coach the proper skill. For sole delay once skill is completed player should take a directional touch away from the defender. For turn and face then take a dynamic touch away. For scoop do a sole delay then scoop over the marker. Head up as much as possible.

Objective: improve our possession, passing and receiving with the sole.
Set-Up: full court 5v5+2 neutrals.
Instructions: players can one-touch the ball OR receive it but if they receive it they must use the sole.
Variations: (1) possession only. (2) goals are live.
Coaching Points: (1) receiving ball with the sole, (2) creating shape, (3) movement without the ball.

Objective: play a game of futsal in a 1-3-1 formation.

Objective: to work on our finishing.
Set-Up: two lines of players with balls +1 goal and goalkeepers.
Instructions: player dribbles diagonally then turns and faces. They can either take a directional touch and then shoot OR scoop and then shoot using the opposite foot.
Coaching Points: (1) dribbling at pace, (2) working on turning and facing with sole, (3) working on directional touch or scoop, (4) finishing.
Dynamic Warm-Up Check/Diag/Block/Roll (15 mins)
Objective: futsal specific warm-up.
Set-up: first 3 cones are 5 yards part. 4th cone is 2 yards. 5th cone is another 2 yards.
Instructions: players check away, run diagonal, block and roll.
Variations: start with jog, high knees, heels up, side slide facing each other, open & close the gate, straight leg march, quick feet around middle cone, up and back sprints.
