Warm-up

1/2 Players dribbling around doing a variety of techniques, the other half just jogging around:

Players with a ball doing:

a)Toe taps b) Quick feet c) Scissors d) Matthews move e) Sole role

Players without a ball everytime coach call go players must sprint to a cone on the outside of the grid

Progression

a)Players sprint to a cone and then take 3-4 steps backwards, turn and then jog

1 v 1

3 - 1 v 1 stations and defending players rotate after every repitition.Once they complete one station they rotate to the next and so on. One group is the attackers they stay for the 90 second set, one group is the servers they serve constanly for the 90 secnds and the defenders rotate after each serve

 

Station #1 - 1 v 1 Line Soccer

 

Station #2 - 1 v 1 to small goal

 

Station #3 - 1 v 1 to small gates

 

Coaching Points

a) Close down space quickly quick - quick - slow

b) Show player to one side based on what you want (weaker foot, touchline, no goal that side etc..)

c) Low centre of gravity with eyeson the ball

3 v 3 Game

3 v 3 game. Players must man mark their player only and may not switch off to another player. Everytime your player scores that you are marking you do 5 burpees.
