Objectives:
- Running and Change of Speed / Direction
- Ball Skills
- Passing & Receiving technique
Organisation:
- Same setup as last week
- In approx 30 x 20 area split players, players stand on or inbetween cones on the edge of the outside area.
- Players stand on or inbetween cones outside the square.
- Hand 3-4 players a bib
- Players with bib run through the 'decision box' and deliver the bib to a new player on the outside of the box, after which they switch positions
- Once players understand the concept add a defender into the 'decision box' (1A)
- Defender tries to tag players that enter the box, if succesful tagged player drops their bib and becomes the defender. Player that was the defender picks up the bib and runs to the outside of the box.
Progression (2)
- Take away the middle defender and add 4-5 balls (depending on numbers, keep activity high)
- Same rules as before, players with a ball run into the decision box
Difference from last week
- Instead of dribbling out players pass from the middle box to a player on the outside and then swap positions
Progression (3)
- Coach can guard the outside (between the middle box and the outside line) area and try to block players passes to force decision making
Encourage correct passing technique with a locked ankle, using the inside of the foot to pass and receive.

2v2 (Flying Changes)
Organisation
- Split group up into 2 teams
- Teams line up either side of their goal / GK
- Assign one line from each group to start with balls
- In this example Yellows start the game, players at the front of each line play 2v2 + GK's + Joker
- Joker playes for both teams
- This game is high on activity, the game should not stop. If the ball goes out of play a new team immediately enters e.g.
*If ball goes over blue teams line or a goal is scored against them a new blue team enters with ball
*If ball goes over yellow teams line or a goal is scored against them a new yellow team enters with ball
* If ball goes over the sidelines the team that kicked it out leaves and a new team enters to replace them
To encourage passing frequency:
- Every time a new player enters they must play a pass to the joker player, opposing team cannot challenge until this is completed. Once joker player receives the ball the game goes live.
To encourage more passes:
- Coach can enforce a certain number of passes before scoring
- Coach can ensure everyone including GK and / or joker player touches the ball before scoring
To decrease difficulty:
- Teams rotate as above but the coach can start with the balls, when its time for teams to rotate coach can add in a new ball
To decrease difficulty further:
- Coach can command teams when to enter and feed in new balls
If more than 12 players
- To keep rotations high coach can add neutral bumpers on the outside who can be used to play wall passes off to goal

Organization:
- 2 Pitches
- 3v3 or 4v4 match phase
- GK's can move in and out the game to create an extra player and therefore extra passing options
For example, if yellow team have the ball the yellow GK moves out and creates a numerical advantage, the blue GK has to retreat. When blue team have possession the blue GK comes out to support and the yellow GK retreats back to goal.
