Mid cycle of weekly schedule with one match in a week working on winning the ball and transitioning quickly to attack.

Set Up:
20 x 20 area
Balls at one side of area
8 players in possession of ball
3 players defending
Activity:
2-touch around the area
3 defenders must win the ball for the first player to cycle out
10 passes or a defensive split and defenders stay in to defend for another turn
If players in the middle chase for 120 seconds then play is stopped they are given a 1 min rest for recovery and then start again

70 Yards x 30 Yards

3 Defenders
Activity:
Light team will receive a pass from the GK
Action starts 4v3 for the light team as shown.
They must advance the ball into the next that is 25-30 yards away from the opposition's goal
Once they are in the zone they attempt to score, offside applies
If the blue team wins the ball, they must pass the ball to one of their blue teammates waiting at the pole (two strikers). The players on the pole become active when the ball is played to them (offside applies). If the ball goes out of bounds when the light team is in possession then a coach will serve a ball to the blue players on the pole. The rest of the blue team join up to make it 5v4.
If a goal is scored or ball goes out of bounds the action in complete. If the light team wins the ball or the Gk makes a save another action will go 4v5 the other direction.

Activity:
4x3 minutes
Blue Gk will start with the ball
He will play a long pass to one of the two white players (simulate loss of possession)
The two white players will pass to the white player on the top of the penalty area, he will bounce the ball or turn. White will play 3v2 against the two blue defenders.
If a goal is scored or ball goes out of bounce, the coach will play the ball into the two blue players with a blue player joining fro the side. Two white players will stay and the attack will go 3v2 the other direction.
