warm Up (15 mins)

Organization:

1. One big goal, if available.

2. Team divided into even numbers.

3.Two square areas on front of players as show.

Instructions:

1. Two players will compete, first they will have to run towards the small area in front of them, inside the area.  they must exit thru the middle of area,and run towards opposite post of the goal. First one to reach the post gets the point.

2. Player must change lines after they finish.

Coaching Points:

1. Direction,balance of the run.

2. Change of direction.

3. Do not run flat foot, it will slow your speed.

4. Look up to see where you run.

Semiopposed (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Same as before, only diferrence players have the ball now.

Instructions:

1. Players will do the same as before, but this time, they will run with the ball, as soon they exit area, they must take a shoot on goal. Player who score first get the point.

2.Players on the right must take shoots with their left foot, players on the left line must take shoots with right foot.

3. Rotate lines after shoot was taken .

Coaching Points:

1. Touches going into area.

2. First touch as soon you leave the area.

3. Look at the goal location after the first touch is done, and then execute the shoot.

4. Correct technique to shoot.

-Choice of technique based upon distance, position of the GK

-Angle of approach – off center

-Head down at the point of contact

-Non-kicking foot placed to side, even with the ball

-Ankle locked, toe down

- Contact ball – will vary depending on target area

- Contact foot – laces (instep)

- Body weight forward, chest and knee over the ball at contact

- Follow through landing on striking foot

- Positive attitude towards shooting

Opposed (20 mins)

Organization:

1.Same as before.

Instructions:

1. One line of players will have a soccer ball (attackers), other line with no soccer balls (defenders).

2. Player will dribble towards the area, and will try to score before defender stops him, defender must go thru his area as well before adding pressure 

3. Players rotate positions after action is done.

Coaching Points:

1. Where pressure is coming from.

2. Accuracy or power. Decision making.

3. Ball control.

Condition game (15 mins)

Organization:

1. Two big goals if available

2. Game of 2 v2 + Keeper

3. Area adjust to field availability

Instructions:

1. A game of 2 v 2 will go on, the team that scores, must run back and touch their goal post, and become defenders.

2. Team was scored on, must exit and two new attackers must initiate the game

Coaching Points:

1. Reaction time to take shoot.

2. Do not wait for defenders to balance.

3. Accuracy over power.
