Learning Outcomes
Who: The closest defending player to the ball
What: Putting pressure on the attacking player quickly and with purpose to deny, delay and cause predictive behavior
When: When the attacker is looking to penetrate with dribble
Where: All parts of the field, middle third primally
Why: To prevent the advancement of the ball through the midfield in a 1v1 situation.
1. Introduce players to proper defensive stance.
2. Develop players' ability to close down with speed.
3 Develop players' ability to close down at an angle.
4. Develop players' ability to identify when to tackle.

Organization:
- 3 Fields
- 3 Teams
Instructions:
- Defenders will pass ball to attacker and release upon pass
- Defender tries deny the forward from scoring, if wins caps the ball on the cone line
-1 pt for a goal in mini net or dribble through gate
-1 pt for defender to win the ball +1 Bonus if they cap the ball on the opposing endline
- Swicth after 3 minutes
- 2nd round switch the goal to the other side (field 2)

Introduction
Organization:

Instructions
- Players look to close down on the ball together.
- Focus on body shape, proper stance, and angle of approach.
- Attackers look to get through the gate on opposing side.
- 1 pt if attacker dribbles through gate
- 1 pt defender wins prevents
- 3 pt defender win and counter over the line
-Switch sides
