Passing and Receiving Corner Target Game
Objective is for team in possession to transfer the ball from one target player in one corner to the opposite target player in the opposite corner.
Progress to adding rotation of positions once players understand the concept of the game. When one of the middle players passes in to one corner they then swap positions with that player who then brings the ball back in to play.
Challenge the players to input the technical key points from the unopposed practise.
The coach should differentiate the game for individuals and the teams. If a team is comfortable challenge them appropriately E.g. Can both middle players touch the ball before transfering the ball/Encourage playing with two touches.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
4v4 or 5v5 Four Goal Game
The objective for both teams is to try and score in either one of the two goals as well as defend their own two goals.
Normal game rules apply, except that rather than having one central goal there are now two goals on either side of the pitch.
Question - Ask the players to think about when, why and how would they change the point of attack by swtiching play from one goal to the other.
Key Points
Again the key points are the same from the unopposed technique yet now the players are in a game realistic scenario to try and make these techniques effective.
Coaching Aims
Individualise feedback as much as possible through questionning and challenges/Consider how my pace and pitch dictates the tempo at which I want the players to play/Today try to be as clear and concise as possible with my feedback and instructions for smooth and efficient translations

Technical Unopposed
Passing and Receiving Technical Practise
Players are split in to teams of three players with one player at either end of the grid and one player in the middle of the area.
The middle player receives a pass from one of his team mates on the outisde and transfer the ball to his other team mate on the opposite side of the grid.
The coach should encourage lateral movement from the two end players to challenge the middle player to have an awareness of their surroundings.
Players swap after 60 seconds.
Once technical key points have been established, introduce defenders to add pressure on to middle players.
Progress to a competition where the team of three players scores one point everytime they successfully switch the ball from one side to another and the defenders also score a point each for each time they make an interception. 60 second games.
Key Points
Open body shape in space to receive the pass/Communication both verbal and non-verbal/Check shoulder before receiving the pass/First touch (if required or can let roll across the body) with back foot depending on type of pass
