Activity
-coach calls a number (1-4) - on the command one player from each team runs to the middle square then changes direction towards the square close to their GK to receive the ball - then run at speed down channel towards opposite goal to shoot. First player to score wins point for their team. Switch GKs frequently.

Activity
-Small-sided game (adapt for numbers). Play with a retreat line - after a goal, if the ball goes out on the end, the opposition must back-up behind the line. Cannot cross line until first touch is taken. If ball goes out of play, ball can be passed or dribbled in.

Activity
A shooting activity - player dribbles towards cone, performs cut around and attempts to finish on the goalkeeper. Shooter them becomes goalkeeper, and goalkeeper joins the shooting line. To increase intensity, have the 2 groups pick a gk to go defend the other team's net and place as a race/competition.
Possible variations/progressions
-Pass inside to set-up for shot
-Play from other direction to work other foot
Coaching Points
-Head down at the point of contact
-Non-kicking foot placed to side, slightly behind the ball
-Contact foot – laces (instep)
-Body weight forward, chest and knee over the ball at contact
-Follow through landing on striking foot
