Organization & Instructions: (Main Theme 1)
o Half field set up as shown
o Green = 1 GK, 3 Defenders, 2 Midfielders
o Red = 2 Midfielders, 2 Attackers
o Green team attempt to stop the yellow team scoring
o Red team attempt to score on goal
o Activity starts from the GK who plays long into one of the two Red midfielders
o When the ball is won play quick to small goals, then activity restarts.
o If Green score on small goals they get a chance at switching roles with reds if they miss or ball goes out of bounce then we restart the activity.
Coaching Points:
o As above
o Players drop to a set line before confronting the attackers
o Players don’t chase the ball but remain compact
o Defensive line drop no more than the edge of the area
o Central midfielders drop in and deny passes into the forwards
o If the attackers move laterally, the whole defensive unit does so as well

o Green = 1 GK, 3 Defenders, 4 Midfielders, 3 Targets
o Red = 2 Defender, 4 Midfielders, 2 Attackers
o Green team attempt to play to targets to score
o Red team attempt to score on goal
o Activity starts from the GK who plays long into one of the two Red midfielders
o When the ball is won play quick to targets, then activity restarts.
o If Green get the ball to one of the targets, they get a chance at switching roles with reds if they miss or ball goes out of bounce then we restart the activity.
Coaching Points:

o Upon winning the ball, players should play direct quickly into the
target players
