Passing & Recieving: (20 minutes)
Organization:
- 8-10 players
- Mark out distance of 10 yards between player with the ball and player in the middle.
- 10-12 yards distance from middle cone to the side cones
- 2 Balls being passed simultaneously
Instructions:
- P1 passesto P2
- P2 opens up off left foot and passes ball to P3's feet.
- P3 takes guided first touch into space and dribbles to the opposite line.
- The same action/sequence is being done on the other side.
- Players pass and follow their pass
- Make sure you "Change" direction so players are going the opposite way
Possible progressions/variation:
- Have players check out then into recieve the ball.
- Have players pass into space instead of feet.
Coaching Points:
- On your toes (happy feet)
- Body Shape (hips and shoulder open)
- Eye contact/communication
- Play to lead foot (front foot)
- Speed/Pace of pass
- Guided first touch forward
- Swing knee
- Non-passing foot over the ball
- Sprint after pass
** Remember we want the player to reduce time on the ball - (Touch - Step- Pass)

Small Sided Game: (20 minutes)
Objective:
Attackers - To keep possession of the ball and to execute a split pass and or finish with a goal on the big net.
Defenders - Force the 4 to turn the ball over and score in one of the 2 side counter goals = 1 goal
Organization:
- Using half field
- 3v3/4v4 or 3v3 + 1 neutral if needed
- Play 10 minutes and then switch the teams around so both have the opportunity to attack and shoot on the big goal.
- Award bonus goals for split passes, combinations or 4 consecutive passes in a row.
Coaching Points:
- Create space
- Speed/accuracy of pass
- Decision making
- Transition when you lose the ball
- Body shape
- 1v1 attacking skills,moves to beat defender and shoot
- Width (spread side to side)
- Depth (Long end to end)

Warm-up: 2 Man Triangle (8 minutes)
Set up:
- Half field in groups of 3 to 4
- Place the players in a 10x10 yard box or use up free space
Drill
- Players play 2vs1 for about 2 min trying to keep the ball away from
the defender.
- If the defender wins the ball he tries to keep it and the attackers
must quickly win the ball back.
- After 1-2 min switch the defenders
Coaching Points:
- Movement off the ball,
- Quickly get into good position to receive a pass
- Communication
- Should never be standing still
- Speed/Accuracy of pass
- Encourage players to bring as much creativityand flair to it as much as they want
