1 v 1 - Lateral Movement
Organisation: 13 minutes - Pair off the entire team and set up cones about 2m apart as shown. - 1 ball between 2 players.
Instruction: - The player with the ball must move the ball laterally out of cones whilst trying to loose the player opposite them, then sprint to the end goal. - The opposite player tries to jockeys the player with the ball from the other side of the line, attempting to keep pace with the changes of pace and direction. - The player with the ball must use different skills and techniques to get to the either of the end goalsbefore the other player can put his foot there. - Each player goes for about 1-2 minutes at a time and rotates.
Coaching points:- Keep changing direction- Keep changing the pace which you go - Use all the different parts of your feet to manipulate the ball.

SET UP: 13 mins - 6 players each with a ball. 1 ball needed rest go inside triangle
INSTRUCTION: Players will pass the ball outside of the triangle and then follow your pass. A-B-C Then change direction C-B-A
COACHING POINTS: Look to receive/cushion the pass on your back foot, pass with inside foot. Do not receive the pass at the cone, check off open up your body.
PROGRESSION:
1 - Add a 2nd ball
2- Have C come short to B where B plays short pass to C1 - C plays 1 touch pass back to B and then spins out to receive pass B thru the triangle to receive at
