Set Up: 10*10 grid. Two target goals for attackers; one target goal for defenders. Have two set ups.
Players: Divide players into two groups shown - attackers and defenders. Balls behind defenders.
Description: Defender (blue) takes a touch into the grid and passes the ball to the attacker (red). Cannot pass the cone 2 yards into the grid. Attacker attempts to best defender and score on either one of the target goals. Defender can win the ball back and score on their target goal. Must initially dribble through the goals to start.
Progressions:
2v1
2v2
Key Factors:
Attack with speed. BE CREATIVE!
Looking for feints and dribble skills.
Attack the defender's front foot.

Set Up: 40*40 area with two large goals placed back to back. Supply of balls on the outside with a server.
Players: 3 teams of 5 players plus one neutral and two Goalkeepers. Two teams work, one rests. Rotate every 2 minutes.
Description: Teams play 5v5 plus a goalkeeper, defending one net and attacking the other. All restarts begin with the server. Only condition is that all goals count as one. However, IF a team can leave one player to protect their own goal, a goal will count for triple points.
Progression:
1. Build a small box around both goals, where players can only stay for up to 5 seconds.
2. One time finishing inside the small box around the goals.
3. Play with one goalkeeper, who transitions between both goals.

Set Up: Quarter field at Pine Glen. Balls along the outside.
Players: 3 teams of 5 players (one team will have a subsitute). 5 outfield and 1 goalkeeper for each team on field. Two active teams; third team rests.
Description: Play 6v6 (including GK) - King's / Queen's court. All regular rules apply, including retreat line. Team that scores stays and quickly attacks the other way (after scoring). Resting team jumps on the field to defend. Team that got scored on leaves the field.
Key Factors:
All coaching points from the session - focus on angles and distance of support. Also look for good overall shape, support and mobility.

4v4+4 Rondo (15 mins)
Set Up: 25*25 grid split into quarters. Balls along the outside of the grid.
Players: 12-16 players (adjust as needed). 4 red; 4 blue; 4 yellow; 3 teams of 4.
Description: Restart with the team that did not lose possession. Positional game aimed at improving combinations in midfield and creating overloads. Reds on the outside work with the team in possession. Yellow and blue teams are divided into 1v1 in each zone and work to maintain possession with either their own teammates or with red. 10 passes = 1 point. Whichever team gives up possession switches with the team on the outside.
Tactical Objectives:
Maintain possession; identify how to create overloads; create / find space to receive (support) and move to support.
