Organisation

-Two GKs working in a pair

-Set-up is a diamond; with 4 markers (2 markers can be used)

-GKs will stand opposite each-other on the white markers (their starting point) with 2 footballs placed horizontally on the red markers (as shown).

1v1 speed game

Organisation

-GKs will start on the white markers and will work in pairs.

-GKs will work to their left and right side; working 6-8 repetitions with rest inbetween (3-4 reps on each side)

-After each repetition; GKs will return to their starting position before undergoing the next rep on the other side.

-No changes to the organisation of the set-up.

-Progression- 1 GK will work and perform the technique; the other will provide passive pressure by running to the same ball and decellerating (or jumping over the working GK).

-Work for 2 repetitions (1 on each side) and swap roles. Work for 8 reps.

Through ball

-Progression- For this progression; the working GK will start with the ball. The GK will then pass the ball in to their partner - their partner will then take a 'bad' touch to either side; GK will then advance and aim to collect the ball with the server advancing to provide passive pressure.
