Organization:
-5x5 grid
-4 cones
-Player A and Player B are 10 yards apart
-1 ball
Instructions:
-Player A passes to player B
-Player B takes directional touch outside the box with the outside foot before passing back to Player A
-Player B jogs back inside the box and repeats action
-Alternate going left and right
-Switch players every minute
Variation 2
-Player A delivers passes on an angle inside the box
-Player B creates angle of approach and positions body
Variation 3
-Player A passes outside the box
-Player B takes directional touch into space (inside the box)
Variation 4
-Player B checks away towards the back cones then checks in past front cones
-Player A plays a more weighted pass to Player B
-Player B takes a first touch on the run
Coaching Points:
-Appropriate technique, accuracy and weight of pass
-Directional first touch
-Close control of ball on second touch

Progression:
-Combine skill moves

-10x20 area
-4 cones
-2 cones 5 yards apart at each end
-4 players
-1 ball
Instructions:
-Player A (defender) passes to Player B (attacker) then closes down on Player B (semi-opposed)
-Player B shifts ball diagonally forward to create space to pass ball to Player C
-Once Player C receives ball Player D closes down on the ball
-Players switch attacking and defensive roles every time ball is passed across
-Continue the flow of the drill
-Alternate going left and right

-Decide where they want to go with the ball before first touch
-Angle of approach; in line with the ball
-Choosing appropriate surface of foot
-Appropriate technique, accuracy and weight of pass

Progression:
-Fully Opposed
-Split into two teams; one player at each end. Point is scored if player connects pass to teammate

Organization:
-30x40 Grid
-4v4
-Create two gates on each end line 5 yards wide
-Split the players into two teams of five
-Additional player will be the target player who will start on the end line outside the cones on the end their team is attacking
-Supply of balls halfway line next to coach
Instructions:
-Teams play a normal 4v4 soccer game
-In order to score the attacking team target player must move behind one of the two windows and receive pass through that window and be able to maintain a controlled possession
-Once the goal is made the attacking player who passed to the target player now becomes the new target player and they switch roles
-The defending team takes possession and the game continues

-Take first into open space
-Stay in line with the ball
-Choosing appropriate surface of foot to fend off pressure

Warm Up - Dynamics & Ball Mastery
Organization:
-Every player has a ball
-Grid as large as needed for players to have ample space
Instructions:
-All players dribble around the grid performing specific technical footwork (dribble cuts, base system, roll overs, etc).
-Coach commands players to perform specific dynamic movement around grid (high knees, lunges, quad flex, etc). Then players then go back to technical footwork.
