Organization
-8-10 players
-see diagram for set-up and equipment
-area approx. 20x30 yards (5-10 yard "scoring zone")
Activity
-player A dribbles/RWB width ways across the field to finish inside the zone into the small goal and immediately become the defender. That is the trigger for Player B to attack the big goal in a 1v1 situation. If defender wins ball can dribble into end zone for bonus point.
Possible variations/progressions
-end zone also be safety zone for attacker to move back into
Coaching Points
-good touch out of feet to run with ball at speed
-accurate finishing
-close control and dribbling/moves if challenged by defender
-quick transition from attacking to defending

Activity
A 4v4/5v5 small-sided game. Play with a retreat line - after a goal, if the ball goes out on the end, the opposition must back-up behind the line. Cannot cross line until first touch is taken. If ball goes out of play, ball can be passed or dribbled in.
*If you have an odd number of players, either out balance the teams (could be a good challenge?), or use a "magic player" that can help both teams (maybe a player whose confidence seems up to this).

Coaching Points
-When is a good time to pass/dribble/shoot?
-How can you find space on the field? How can we use it?
-When could we use running with the ball or dribbling?
-How does transitioning quickly help your team?
-Can you quickly see good shooting opportunities?
Dribbling/Passing and Shooting accuracy (20 mins)
Organization
-8-10 players
-see diagram for equipment and set-up
-20x15 area
Activity
-players start at the 4 corners of the grid and have to RWB/dribble around the outside. When they reach the cone half way between the corners they must perform a move. When the players reach their starting position, they must use their ball to knock the ball off the middle cone to win the game. Focus on striking the ball with accuracy - practice both side-foot and laces.
Progressions/Variations
-Go in opposite direction
-Change the move
Coaching Points
-Close control when dribbling
-Good execution of moves
-Accuracy on shot at ball on middle cone
