Set Up
- set 6 Grids (depending on numbers)
- 4 cones per grid cones (marking the play area)
Objective
- Focusing on the defender (1v1 )
Activity
The goal is to cross the line and stop the ball.
Players can use any kind of foot work to acomplish the goal.
Coaching Points
- Speed of approach
- Angle of approach (forcing to nearest touchline)
- Deccelerate when approaching)
- Bend the knees, get low, piovt for easy movement

Set Up
- set 2 Grids with 2 or 4 lines (depending on numbers)
Objective
- Focusing on the defender (1v1 - w/ progression to 2v2)
Activity # 1
- Coach Pass the ball to the attacker that must stop the ball before going forward.
Defender comes from the side to defende. Defender will pass the ball back to the coach in case of possession.
- PROGRESSION # 2(2V2)
--> Adding in second defender and attacker
--> Focusing on the shape/distance of second defender
Atackers overlap each other white Defenders are closing the angle to defend. Still dewfender need to find the coach to pass the ball in case of sucess.
Coaching Points
- Speed of approach (deccelerate when approaching)
- Angle of approach (forcing to nearest touchline)
- Body shape - knees bent, side on
- Distance of approach (one arm into the defender keep at distance - give space to recover if beat)
2v2
- Distance and angle between 1st and second defender
- 1st Defender (applies pressure)
- 2nd provides support/cover
- Communication (I'm In, force left, force right)

- Let the teams play 4v4,5v5+2 (depending on numbers)
- Look for coaching based on solely on 1v1 and 2v2 portions in the game
