Speed Endurance (15 mins)

Organisation

 

3 areas 10x15 yards

 

3 players in each area

 

The coach passes the ball into 1 of the end zones and then 1 player from the middle will go and press to win the ball.

 

The team on the end zone must play minium of 3 passes before trying to swich the ball to the other end zone. then another player from the middle will go and press.

 

Reds complete 1 seperate attempts each to win the ball then change with the other colour

(minimum 15 secs work max of 45 seconds).

 

Technical/Tactical

 

Works like a back 4 or a midfield 4 with 1 player pressing, good communication, quality of the passing and range of passing, body shape to receive the ball. it will help the player pressing to try and show the player which way they want the attacker to play the ball.

 

Physical Benefits

 

Short and high intensity sprinting, it works on the players anerobic fitness aswell as speed endurance.
