Set Up: Triangles should be between 6 - 12 yards on all sides, can start smaller and make bigger as you go, having a max of 6 players in any triangle to maximize repetition [balls, cones]
Organization: Players pass the ball around the triangle, staying on the outside of the triangle, letting the ball come across their body and then taking a directional first touch around cone. Do not stand still, check away from the cone to create space. Players follow their passes.
Progressions: [a] Backpedal to Create Space - A plays to B, B lays the ball off and backpedals to create space, and receives the ball across their body and then plays to C; [b] One Two - B plays to C, C drops ball back and makes bending run around cone, and gets the ball back from B (can also add a skip pass); [c] Front Foot - D plays to E, E plays a first touch front foot pass to F, who lays it off for a one two; [d] Cut Pass - G dribbles at H, H initially checks for ball, then moves around cone, G plays a disguised pass to I, who lays off to H and gets the one two back
Coaching Points: create space, check your shoulders, proper technique in receiving the ball, speed of technique, movement off the ball, timing of runs, pace of passes

Set Up:In a 50 x 30 area, we will place a 5 yard neutral zone in the middle of the field. We will divide into 3 equal teams, sizes may vary [Balls, pinnies, cones]
Activity: One team will start in each zone, and the ball will be played into one of the end zones. The team in the middle will send 4 defenders to make it a 6 v 4. The possession team is trying to make 3 passes then play a ball on the ground to the team on the other side and the defending team is trying to press to win back possession. If a team turns the ball over, they then become the defensive group and press immediately.
Progressions: [a] can play the ball in the air to the other side, must play ball on ground through 3 smaller goals in the central zone, [c] every 3 passes, the defending team can send in another player.
Coaching Points: speed of play, awareness, movement and support off the ball, techniques of receiving the ball properly, playing the ball forward when possible, support of players in forward positions

Setup: Field is 60 x 30 yards, divided evenly into 3 zones. We play 12 v 6, starting with a 6 v 3 in zone 1, a 4 v 3 in zone 2, and 2 v 0 in zone 3. Can change dependent upon formation, numbers, etc.
Organization: The white team starts with possession in zone 1. They look to complete a set number of passes [4 - 6] and then transfer the ball into zone 2. Once in zone 2, players from zone 1 can join to increase the numbers up, and look to combine to play and get the ball into zone 3. Once in zone 3, if white maintains possession, the 4 whites in zone 2 transfer to zone 3, and the 3 yellow defenders from zone 2 drop into zone 3 to defend, and will again form a 6 v 3 in zone 3. 4 white players from zone 1 will drop into zone 2, along with the 3 yellow defenders in zone 1 to make a 4 v 3 in zone 2. Now we start the exercise from the other side, looking to work from zone 3 to zone 2 to zone 1.
Progressions: [1] restrict touches, [2] get a point by working the ball to a target on the endline with 1 touch pass, [3] add goals to endlines, [4] open up to free play with only restriction is you cannot skip a zone to attack.
Coaching Points: passing and receiving, angles of support, getting into windows, movement off the ball, timing of runs and passes, awareness, speed of play.

Set Up: 9 v 9 including GK's on approx 3/4 of an 11 v 11 field
Instruction: At first, divide the field into 4 rows, passes have to be played through each zone going forward, progress into no restrictions, allow theme of the training session to come out naturally in the flow of the game
Coaching points: Players ability to connect passes through good support angles (play in 3's) and recognize moments to play forward/change tempo and get numbers forward to support target striker and creare numerical advantages. Timing, distance, angle of support runs. Ability to convert high percentage of goal scoring opportunities

[1] give and go, [2] up/back/through, [3] 3 man combination. Focus on the quality of the technique and maintaining technique at full speed.
Coaching Points: body activation, speed of thought and speed of play, technical warm up, proper running movements through ladders, communication.
