Moves of Week skill
Lateral Rolling while Walking
This is a technical exercise where players move the ball forward while remaining in a lateral position which is important to learning ball control, feints, and dribbling. The body's lateral position will be useful in shielding the ball during a match.
Lateral Rolling while Running
This is an exercise of medium difficulty that requires running with constraint and a greater attention and sensitivity with the touch of the ball linked to the lateral running,
Instructions
Players perform the Move of the Week while freely moving within the grid.

The circle rotation warm-up can be used for players to practice passing and volleying depending on skills
Set Up
Have players partner up, one partner goes to the perimeter of the center circle with a ball and the other partner starts inside the center circle. If you don’t have access to a center circle you can also set up a circle with cones.
How It Works
Players in the center run in a rotation performing passes, headers, or volleys with the perimeter players. After each pass, the center players must run back to the center before starting their next run. All players in the center rotate around in the same direction so that they link up with every perimeter player once as they go around. After a full rotation perimeter players switch with center players so that players perform both roles. Players must ask for a pass
Coaching Points
Make sure players are communicating and checking to the ball to receive passes. When checking to the ball players should shift gears from a slower speed to moving quickly towards the ball. This simulates checking in a game where an attacking player is trying to create separation from a defender.

Fall ODP Week 2 1st Session (10 mins)
Set Up
Divide the players into two evenly numbered teams and assign a jersey color to each team.
Have the two teams line up along the middle with their backs facing one another.
Instruction
The coach starts the round by calling out one of the two team colors.
The team called immediately runs towards the cone line they are facing while the other team quickly turns and attempts to tag the other team before they reach the cone line.
If a player gets tagged before crossing their end line, they must immediately freeze and raise their hand. The coach counts the number of players with their hands up and rewards the other team with one point for each player tagged.
The teams walk back to their starting position to repeat the process. The coach keeps score of the total points for each team. Team colors can be called at random as long as they both have had equal attempts to tag the other team by the end of the game.
The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Progession
Soccer Balls – Incorporate a soccer ball. Have each player complete the activity by dribbling at high speeds and attempting to catch their opponents.
Vary the distance – Set the distance players must run to their end line depending on the players’ age and physical levels.
Opposite Game- Test the players’ reactions by calling the wrong colors to throw them off.
