MOTG - We dont have the ball

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Coaching Points:
1st defender-can they get out quickly to challenge attacker far away from net? Are they slowing down as they get close, angling attacker away from net or to weak foot? If attacker takes a bad touch, are you close enough to win ball
2nd defender-can they close down from side quickly before attacker gets close enough to shoot? If they get close enough can they lean with shoulder to slow attacker, or if attacker takes big touch are they able to step in from and separate them from the ball?
3rd defender-Can you use speed to get close enough to attacker to apply some pressure so they are rushed to take a bad shot? Can you get close enough so in case attacker fumbles a touch you can catch them?

Coaching Points:
1st defender-can they get out quickly to challenge attacker far away from net? Are they slowing down as they get close, angling attacker away from net or to weak foot? If attacker takes a bad touch, are you close enough to win ball. Try to always maintain goalside. Exercise patience. Be opportunistic and win ball if attacker miss touches ball.
2nd defender-Is defender getting into support position quickly. Are they in position to become 1st defender if 1st defender is beaten, ie. are supporting to side of passing option. Are they covering area when far from target, vs transitioning to marking closer when attackers closer to goal. Patient? Opportunistic and anticipating to intercept weak/bad passes.

Warm-up
Organization: Set area approx 35x35 yards, with cones along perimeter that create a series of alternating goal lines, name opposing goal lines similarly (1's and 2's). 10-14 players
Activity: Divide players into 2 teams. One team starts with ball, and dribbles around area. Coach will call number to indicate which pair of nets the team with ball can dribble through to get point. Team without ball follows tightly opponents (not allowed to steal ball, yet), because when coach calls number they are allowed to steal ball. If opposing player wins ball, they dribble to the other numbered nets. Restart with other team beginning with ball.
Coaching Points - Are players without ball (defenders) able to follow, mark and stay tight on ball carrier so that they can steal it when attacker goes for goal and they have opportunity to steal it.
