1v1s - Turns (25 mins)

In 2s - Attacker dribbles into defender zone, defender sits on soccer ball, as soon as attacker gets in to zone defender will race the player back to start line (without ball). Attacker must quickly turn and accelerate back to start line. Switch after each attempt, keep score, move players after every round so we get to play different opponents.

Coaching Points

  • Speed - Bigger touches into space, slow down as getting closer.
  • Control - smaller touches as approaching end zone.
  • Fast turn - quickly turn the ball back instead of running around the ball to turn.
  • Exit touch - after turn, use next touch to get into space quickly.

4 v 4 Scrimmage, diamond shape, no keeper.
