Session based on Defending as a group. All movements should be explosive prior to passing the ball in the first two activites while pretending to press the the ball as we will move onto that concept as we progress. Immediate pressure on the ball is key and the concept of pressure, cover, and balance will be encouraged as we quickly flood the opponent. Emphasis on immediate pressure on the ball and the visual cues of: player turning to face their goal, backwards pass, or bad touch.

4 Goal Game Tournament - focus on SWPOA. 24 across, 2 yard goals. 20 yards deep. 4v4+1
+1 is to stay in the middle and connect play. Working as the #6 in a game as a team tries to play out of the back. Field split into 3rds and defending players must be all across into the closest 2 3rds in order to keep defence tight. If player is not across that line then any goals scored will be worth 2 points. Make field into 3rds and demand central players stay in there and connect and be the link for passed. Guiding Quesions (with the ball): Where are we trying to go? What should I passing be like? Where do you alway have an option? What should you do once you play the ball? GQ (without the ball) What should the first defender do? Second Defender? Third Defender? What is the key as soon as you lose possession? Where Should the communication come from? How can we squeeze the oppositions possession?
