Equipment:

-Approx. 15x15 area need
Set-up:
1. Player passes ball through cones with good weight/accuracy
2. Curves run around the pole to approach the ball at an angle and take shot at goal
3. Shooter then becomes the next GK
Switch sides half-way through exercise so that they practice using both feet.
Key Points:
-approach to ball
-position of standing foot
-body position when striking the ball
-use of laces and striking the middle of the ball
-follow through after contact
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
-See diagram for equipment and set-up
-Area: full quarter field
Set-Up:
-Player A initiates the play. Play starts as soon as he makes a contact with the ball. As soon as the contact is made, player B becomes active defender. A tries to score on breakaway before being stopped by B..
-Shot must be taken from inside the penalty box.
-Work from both sides.
Key Points:
-Dribbling - pace, ball control, attacking the goal
-Decision making - taking a shot versus dribbling the goalkeeper
-Shooting/finishing - part of the foot / ball, accuracy before power, follow through
-GK - come out to make goal smaller
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
-see diagram for set-up and equipment
-area approx. 20x15 yards
Player A dribbles/RWB width ways across the field to finish inside the zone into the small goal and immediately become the defender. That is the trigger for Player B to attack the big goal in a 1v1 situation. If defender wins ball can dribble into end zone for bonus point.
A then joins line B, B becomes GK (C), and C joins line A.
Coaching Points:
-good touch out of feet to run with ball at speed
-accurate finishing
-close control and dribbling/moves if challenged by defender
-quick transition from attacking to defending
