Quickstrike FC is a premier soccer program that competes at the Regional and National levels.
Our primary focus is the development of player values; including commitment to excellence, sportsmanship, as well as technical, tactical and team skills required to fulfill potential and progress to the highest level of play. Organization:
4 cones in 'Y' shape
10 yards from start line to far cones 'C'
5 yards from start line to first cone 'B'
5 to 8 yards from cone 'B' to cones 'C'
Players line up at 'A' with ball
Instructions:
2 to 3 minutes on each variation. Rest between variations with dynamic stretch, Quick Feet Series (front to back, side to side, 1-2 hold, jumps)
Variation 1 - Pass, Lay-off, Pass, Dribble:
Players on each cone, remaining players line up at 'A' with one ball each.
Player at 'A' passes ball to player at 'B'
Player at 'B' passes ball back to player at 'A'
Player at 'A' passes ball to either player at 'C' (alternate sides).
Player at 'A' runs to 'B'
Player at 'B' runs to 'C'
Player receiving ball at 'C' dribbles ball to back of line at 'A'
Variation 2 - Pass, Turn, Combination:
Players on each cone, remaining players line up at 'A' with one ball each.
Player at 'A' passes ball to player at 'B', jogs to 'B'
Player at 'B' turns, passes ball to player at 'C' (alternate sides) and jogs to 'C'
Player at 'C' passes ball to player jogging to 'C'
Player jogging to 'C' passes ball one touch/1 - 2 back to player runngin from 'C' to back of line at 'A'

Organization:
20 x 40 yard zone. Cones in pairs as gates. Size of zone and number of gates can be adjusted based on number of players. All players with ball.
Instructions:
Players free-form dribbling in zone. Add progressions to introduce turning.
Coaching Points:
Use of big toe/little toe/laces to control soccer ball
Keep ball close to foot - don't punt/kick and chase
Lift head when running to avoid bumping into other players/touching cones.
Progressions/Regressions:
P - Play through gates
P - Harder pass to change speed of play through gates
P - Add competition - how many gates can player get through in 60 seconds?
P - Red/green/yellow light - When coach says 'green light' players dribble as fast as they can. When coach says 'red light' they stop and do 10 toe taps. When coach says 'yellow light' they dribble at normal speed.
P - Players have to dribble through cones, turn and dribble back through same cone.

Organization:
Three lines of cones.Players in pairs standing opposite each other and either side of center line of cones, facing coach at A. Coach has pinnies matching color of cones on outside of grid.
Instructions:
Coach calls out multiple levels of player vs player challenges. Players start by touching cleat to cleat. Coach calls color of cone players need to run to. Player closest to that color cone trys to run to it before partner tages them. - see progressions.
Coaching Points:
High pace/energy.
Quick change of direction/movement.
Ball control - ball close to foot.
Creativity on turns - include Cruyff, drag/pull back, inside cut, outside cut
Progressions/Regressions:
P - Players on one knee.
P - Players on two knees.
P - Players lay down.
P - Players run to opposite side than the one called by coach.
P - Coach holds up pinnie that is color of cone players run to.
P - Coach holds up pinnie that is color of opposite cone players run to.
P - Add ball, repeat all progressions.
P - Both players in pair dribble to the cone on their side - first back wins.
P - Both players in pair dribble to the cone on their side and back 5 or 10 times - first back wins.

Organization:
40 x 20 yards. Two goals in center of zone facing out. Players in two teams at opposite ends of zone. Coach on side at C with lots of soccer balls. Four coned gates in corners of zone at D.
Instructions:
Coach serves soccer ball in and players play 1 v 1 to get ball to opposite goal - Players from A have to score in goal at A. Players from B have to score in goal at B.
Coaching Points:
Be first to ball.
First touch.
Direction of attack.
Creativity.
Turn with ball .
Use and create space.
Progressions/Regressions:
P - Vary ball distribution technique - bounce, throw high, send one one specific side, drop short.
P - Add competition - create teams and keep score, first team to 5, 10 goals.
P - Goal worth two if player dribbles through cone gate at D.

Organization:
30 x 70 area set up as shown.
4 v 4.
Extra team/players waiting.
Instructions:
Open play. 8 - 16 players, 4 v 4 or adjust based on number of available players.
Score by shooting through gates/goals
When a team concedes they are replaced by four team mates.
Coaching Points:
Pace of play.
Speed of transition.
Create triangles: 2 v 1 and 3 v 2 overloads.
Creativity esp use of turns.
Progressions:
P - All players on team have to touch ball before a shot can be made
P - 3, 2, 1 touch max
P - Goal worth 2 points if player gets ball into oppostion half, back into own half then again into oppostion half.
Warmup (5 mins)
Organization:
Every player with soccer ball. Area based on number of players.
Instructions:
Players juggle ball.
Initially they start with ball in hands, drop to foot and catch it.
Player then drops ball onto ground, kicks it up and catches it.
Finally player trys to kick the ball more than once before catching it/it hitting ground.
Coaching Points:
Find space
Use flat part of foot - laces
Don't kick too hard - try to keep under head height
Keep eye on ball
Progressions/Regressions:
R - Allow ball to bounce once between kicks
R - Allow player to start with ball in hands
P - Player starts with ball on ground
P - Player keeps count and trys to beat their record
P - Right foot only
P - Left foot only
P - Left foot, right foot alternate
P - Thighs only
P - Left foot, right foot, thighs
P - Add competition - who can juggle the longest
P - Get into groups of 2,3,4,5 players and juggle as a team.
