Session Plan 1 U8 girls (2 activities with this formation)

Step 1: Set up area 20'x20'

Step 2: Place 5 poles in a 5sided dice formation in the middle.

Step 3: Place two cones 2' apart around the outside of the grid.

Game 1. "Bring me the Ball!"

Break plyaers into groups of two. Each pair has 1 ball. The player with the ball must dribble the ball to the coach (In all Black on picture). The other player tries to steal teh ball and then take the ball to the coach themselves. Once the coach receives teh ball they throw the ball back out into play and it becomes a 50/50 ball. Then they repeat the attempt. The coach moves around the area as to chang the direction of the path the players must travel.

Rules: 1. If they dribble into a pole, another ball, or player, the other person of the pair gets to take possesion. Rule 2. if ball goes out of bounds there is a change of possesion.

Learnign objective: Dribbling - Can the player dribble the ball to the coach. Can they keep their head up to see wherethe coach is moving to?
