Set-up -- Grids approx. 15x12 Depending on the numners in the groups --
Try to have an odd # of players that way the match-ups are different each round. (Example 4 blues vs 3 greens)
Depending on the level/ability of the players -- Have the NEXT player inline serve the balls in.
Players play 1v1 and try to get across the end line. Coaching points: Speed dribble -- Go at players at pace -- Use your laces -- toe pointed down and slightly turned inside, using the pinky toe. Use all partsof your foot -- inside - outside - sole
Defending 1v1 Coaching Points:
1v1 defending - Role of 1st defender (pressure/delay), close the space fast to slow -- defensive stance side on -- high to low -- angle of approach -- make play predictable -- force direction -- force to sideline or weak foot -- contain/delay/jockey/don't dive-in -- get attacker to put head down -- wait for attacker to make a mistake and when to tackle
