Practice Organisation

Set Up

30 x 30 square

Mini goal on each side

4 attacking 4 defending

Attacking team attempts to score as many goals as possible by taking on the the defenders in a 1v1 situation.

Once a a player scores or the goal has been defended then the attacker returns to to the centre to collect a ball and try and score again.

The defender has to tackle the defender and play the ball away.

When balls start to run out then the attackers can join another attacker to create an overloaded 2v1 situation.

This can then move to a 3v2 situation when there are few remaining balls left.

Switch attackers and defenders once all balls have been played.

Key Points

1v1 situation with the attacker using their own desision making process on how to take on the defender.

Defender needs to concentrate on how they are set and quickness to close down the attacker.

The use of the overload by the attackers when they join another attacker
