Introduction (10 mins)

Organization:

  • 30x30y box
  • 4 balls
  • 2 teams

Instructions:

  • Team 1 goes from north to south using 2 balls
  • Team 2 goes from east to west using 2 balls

Main Activity (25 mins)

Organization:

  • 70x45y

Instructions:

  • The attacking team starts by playing from GK or Trow in
  • The attacking team goal is to dribble across 1 of the 3 gates to score 1 point
  • The defending team's job is to prevent that and recover the ball to score in the big goal
  • When the ball goes out of bounce with start over from GK or Trow in

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • What are we looking for when building from our own half?
  • The starting position of CB, RB, and LB
  • Role of CDM (create support and passing lanes for defenders)
  • Keep it spread out to create space -How can you give yourself more time and space?
  • Composure on the ball 
  • Body shape when receiving the ball
  • Be patient, if we cannot go forward switch play and get GK involve -What is your cue that we need to change the point of attack?

Conditioned Game (25 mins)

Organization:

Instructions:

  • Regular game, however, if the ball goes out of bounce we restart with a goal kick

  • The starting position of CB, RB, and LB

  • Keep it spread out to create space
