6v3 - "Four Balls"

Possession game. Coach triggers action. Six players in the middle are attacking team (Red). Six blue players on touch line with coach. Coach plays first ball and three go in to defend (shown above). Count passes until blue can win the ball. Coach then plays second ball and three new defenders enter as first group of defenders returns to the touch line. Continue to count total passes completed with four balls and the then switch attack and defense and count again. Team with most passes wins.

Variation: Add rule that if defense wins ball they try to connect passes too. Their passes count against the total completed passes of the attacking team.

Encourage two-touch play and lots of movement to provide good supping angles and distance. Fix body-shape so players are receiving with maximum time and space. No points for dribbling in this game so keep the ball moving. "Keep It Hot"
