Warm Up (25 mins)
Players will be working in 2s with 1 ball between players. Players will dribble ball around grid with partner shadowing. Incorporate dynamic flexibility into this portion. On coache's call players dribbling will stop ball with foot and try to shield the ball away from partner. This will occur for 10 secs. Players will switch roles and other player will begin to dribble. Repeat.
Focus on players seeing where opposition is and dealing with them. Arm should be up to create separation, low centre of gravity knees bent butt down to have strong shielding stance, player between opposition and ball. Check shoulder see where player is most importantly feel where player is.
Once each player has gone about 4 times players will now change roles. Now players will use various turns to eliminate a passive defender. Coach will call out various turns, inside outside, step over turn and player will check shoulder feel player and turn with change of speed following. Defender does not try to win ball in this situation. Each player will perform different turns, 2 or 3 turns each.
