Screen 1 (30 mins)

Treating the goal kick like a set play.

a walk through and then rehersed play pattern

isolating opposition wide players from goal kicks by making the game lopsided and uneven intentionally.

load the majority of the player to 1 side of the pitch bunching the opposition together, we the use players from deep central areas to explode in to the empty channel on the opposite side of the pitch creating 1v1's or 2v2's or even 2v1 overloads

the run made by the 7 will either cath the opposition off guard or it will draw attention allowing us to play to our 2 insted. the 2's movement is initially support the 7 and offer a back and tgrough option if they're not sure of beating the isolated opposition player. the choices for the 2 are now into the channel behind the opposition back line for the 11 or over the head of our 7 for a cross to either the 9 at their back post or cut back for our advancing 11.

the #7 can now dribble wide and cross or cut back as shown with the grey lines, OR they can set the ball back to the #2 who can then play a longer pass between lines or in behind for the #11 and #9 who are making runs in behind.

#4 #8 #10 #3 are all positioned to put pressure on the opposition or win the ball back if the ball is given away. #6 & #5 stay deep to prevent a long ball over our midfield catching us out if the ball is given away.
