Get everyone pinnied up with blue and red pinnies so that they are ready to play in Game 2.

Game 1 - Groups (Players will play pinnie tag with safe zones on the floor - Only one player is allowed in a safe zone at any given time - When the coach calls out a number, they must stop playing the game and must get into a group of that number. Whoever does not get into the correct group size will start off as taggers for the next game) [3 mins]

Game 2 - Dribble and follow (UP & UNDER) - Players will both have a soccer ball at their feet. Red will be the leader and blue will be the follower for the first repetition. The objective of the follower is to stay as close as possible to the dribbler and the objective of the dribbler is to get as far away as possible from the follower. When the coach shouts "UP", they must hop onto the other partners back and stay there to see who is the last pair to do it. When the coach shouts "DOWN" one player must crawl through the other players legs and then get on their partners back as fast as they can. [3 mins]

Game 3 - Paint the square - In that same pair, they can now pass and move. The transition from having the dribbler & follower to passing the square is to allow the players to mimic "supporting" their team mate via following to now, actually supporting.

Rep 1 - Allow the players to paint the square however they want. (45 seconds)

Rep 2 - How can you improve the amount of space that you cover? (45 seconds)

Rep 3 - Where can your partner move into and what must they be facing? (45 seconds)

Technical Coaching Points

1) Passing technique for the type of pass which they select.

2) Receiving technique with the part of their foot which they select.

3) Running education (how are the players moving when they run?)

Activity 1 - 2v1

Players will get into groups of 3. One player will be the bandit and the other two players will be the paired attackers. The objective for the attackers is to pass and move their way into the other half the square (and back) whilst the defender tries to win the ball off them.

Attackers scores points by successfully entering into the other half of the square. Defenders win a point by successfully stealing the ball in one half and entering into the other side of the square.

Rep = 45 seconds (High-intensity)

Rep 1 - Defenders objective = to place themselves inbetween the line of the pass but not to win the ball

Rep 2 - Defenders objective = to win the ball and get to the other side of the square to earn a point. As soon as they make it to the other side of the square, they keep going whilst trying to get into the other side of the square to keep making points.

Rep 3 & 4 - Attackers can only get across by dribbling.

- DRINK BREAK -

Rep 5 & 6 - Attackers can only move to the other side by passing. (Where can the other team matye

Rep 7 & 8 - Attackers can still only pass it across to gain a point. If the bandit wins the ball they can now attack any of the 4 pugg goals in each corner. Attackers no longer get points for transferring from one side to the other, they get points for passing it into one half and then scoring into a pugg goal.
