Instructions:
-In the half of the field with the width of the 18 yard box
-Play 6v6 or 7v7
- Play always restarts from GK
- In order to score ball has to come from one of the neutral players
- Two neutrals. (add more if numbers allow)
Coaching points:
- In the middle zone players pick up good possitioning
- Players are always side on
- Space awareness
- Balance of team
- Quick play in the middle area
- Support the ball
Warm up (30 mins)
1:
- Dynamic and Rhythmic Movement (skipping, skip and knee up, skip and pass, etc.)
- Dynamic stretches (lung and stretch hip flexor)
- Agility footwork (one-two step, zig-zag, etc.)
- Short sprints
2:
- Place 1-4 numbered cones in a square shape on the court as shown, 2-3 metres apart.
- Starting in the middle of the box, have your partner call out one of the numbers, moving to the cone as quickly as possible.
- Your partner will call out another number before you get to the first cone, so turn and move towards that cone and keep repeating sequence.
- Aim to move to each cone as quickly as you can either forward, backwards and laterally.
- Complete 2–3 sets of 45-second reps, with 1-2 minutes rests in between.
