Boys PD 5-8 (50 mins)

Organization: Set up 3 areas on half field. If more room is required use the endzone for agility. Split into groups of 10 maximumm

Duration: 10 minutes for 4 groups, 8 minutes for 5 groups.

Equipment: Area 1- 15x30; hurdles, cones, flags, poles

Area 2- 15x30, cones, balls

Area 3- 15x40 split to 2 fields, 5' farpost nets, pinnies

Area 4- 15x 40 2 6' farpost nets, cones, balls

Rotation- 8-10 minutes per station, 1-2,2-3A, 3A-3B, 3B-4, 4-1. Have players bring there water with them to each station.

Instructions:

Area 1- Agility course, run as races, players go through and around flag, sprint back to high 5 next to start.

Area 2- Cones are 5M apart, players pass across to their partner through the gate, must make 10 passes through to win. Progess to 8M between, and again a contest to 10 through the gate passes.

For the 7/8 group start at 7M and then go to 10M.

Area 3- 2 small sided games, split the 2 groups into 4 teams, play 4v4 for 5/6 and 5v5 for 7/8.

Area 4- Cone gates 2M wide spaced 5M apart as shown. Players follow their pass, shooter returns with ball to start. Mirror it on the other half and split the group. For the U7-8 ages use a keeper, either rotate after each shot, or a permanent one.

Coed 9-10 (50 mins)

Organization: Set up Agility course behind the net again. Use the 7v7 field across the field with 6' far post goals, cones as shown, balls and pinnies.

Break group up into 2, run area 1 and 2 simultaneous for 10 minutes then switch. Area 3 will be run with the both groups.

Instructions:

Area 1: Cone gates 2M wide spaced 7M apart as shown. Players follow their pass, shooter becomes the keeper, keeper takes the ball back to the start. Mirror it on the other half and split the group.

Progress to a give and go, use the same keeper, the shooter then becomes the defender to create a 2v1.

Area 2: Agility set up behind the net

Area 3: Set up formations on either side of the field, 7v7- 2-3-1and explain the positions, and basic movements of support. Demonstrate for 10 minutes and finish with a 7v7 game for the remaining time.
