Description

 The drills in weeks 1-2 should be of a moderate intensity and last for a longer duration. By controlling the duration this will allow players to play continuously in game like conditions and situations. This will build up stamina gradually and through this form of training allow for tactical work to be incorporated through modifying the game and placing conditions on the players making the training game specific and realistic.

Set-Up

Split players into teams of 7-10 a-side on 70 yards long full width.

What do players do?

Normal game rules. Have a supply of balls spaced around the pitch so that balls leaving the field are fed back in quickly to ensure a high tempo. Drill can be modified by adding the following restrictions on:
