Set Up

Instructions
Work alternate sides. B receives pass from A. B opens body to play to wide player. Wide players passes to stiker 2, Highest striker. Striker 1 comes short then curves run to receive lay off from Striker 2 and shoots. Striker 2 follows up for rebound.
If Defenders win ball A becomes their Target
Strikers change places. Once strikers set repeat from opposite side.
Progress by adding a defencive midfield player
COACHING POINTS:
1 and 2 need to create space to receive the ball.
Check away from where you want to receive the ball.
Communication of attackers, verbal and non-verbal (i.e hands) to indicate where they want the ball.
Movement of the 2 forwards to create space.
Timing of runs
Quality passes in from the servers with good weight of pass.
Look to shoot early if the opportunity arises.
Combinations with the other striker
Decisions on shot making, power for far out and accuracy shot technique close in.
Good driven shooting technique (Knee & Shoulder over ball, non-kicking foot, etc.)
Discuss finishing far post and the reasons why.
Unpredictable play including feints, fake shots and passes to open up space.
The forward not shooting should be following up on rebounds.
Awareness of defenders. Can he be turned. Has he anticipated pass. Can you turn and drive at him. Can you block him off.

Opposite wide player makes supporting run to back post area. Vary types of cross ( early, cutback, deep front post, etc) Once strikers set repeat from opposite side.
COACHING POINTS:
Correct technique for each attempt on goal.
Hit the target (force a save from the goal keeper).
Technique for finish with head
Shots should be low and hard.
Timing of runs.
Curved runs when finishing crosses.
Near and far post runs.

Set up (25 min)
2/3 of a pitch 8 v 8. Pitch split into 3 zones. Each team set up 1-2-3-2.. One player allowed to join strikers in attacking zone but must leave if possesion lost. Offside applies. To score ball must be played through strikers. Team that scores restars from their goalkeeper.

warm up
Set up (15mins)
1. Initial set up 12m long.
2. Progress to 20m
Instructions
1 passes to 2. 2 drops off mannequin and opens body to play to 3 who has dropped off mannequin. 3 plays to 4. All follow their pass. 4 dribbles back to beginning. As soon as 3 has received pass 1 starts. While waiting do dynamic stretches. Progression (2) extend to 20m. Pass from 3 to 4 should now be a driven pass.
Coaching points
When receiving pass open body and take ball with back foot , pass with front foot. Take minimum of 2 touches
