Working in pairs, feeds and returns using different methods to control and pass back
1. Chest/thighs down to feet and pass back
2. Side foot volley returned for catch
2. High header returned for catch
3. Header aimed at ground
• After each throw/return players move as show around marker

2. Head tennis where the thrower continues be heading back (advanced)

• In pairs, players take turns to throw the ball into the air and head it attempting to hit the cone between them and their partner.
• First to 3 wins

• Players start in 2 groups on opposite sides of the area.
• On shout, the first players make run around corner and through the centre of the 'goals'
• Coach feeds a high long ball to the far away player
• Players play 1v1 to score in each others end
• Can only shoot once over the white flat marker lines
Talking Points
• Receiving player (defender) must bring the ball under control as quickly as possible
• The attacking player should close down the space as quickly as possible to put pressure on the defender as they try to bring the ball under control
Progression
• 2v1 (two receivers) and 2v2
• communication becomes key as to who goes to the ball etc
Arrival: Up and under challenge (5 mins)
• In the shaded area, players throw or kick the ball high into the air, attempting to cushion and bring the ball to the ground without allowing it to bounce.
• Use of both feet, chest, head, thighs all to be encouraged
• Maintain awareness of those around them
